Welcome to the Peers for Integration training platform, a place where you can find a comprehensive collection of resources aimed at supporting youth serving organisations to promote inclusion of refugees.

The "Peers for Integration Training Programme", which is the main element of the platform, was developed in a first ever cooperation in the EPTO network, between Ofensiva Tinerilor Association, Attiva Mente Association, EPTO itself and the Arad County School Inspectorate. Being tested in over 10 communities and on more than 200 beneficiaries, it has shown great potential for changing the mentalities of young people, especially in terms of:

  • developing critical thinking with respect to stereotypes that contradict human rights, taking into consideration cultural aspects from Europe
  • empowering the participants to face the existing social pressure that fosters this form of discrimination
  • making them aware of not only the negative implications of discrimination based on one's cultural background, but also other forms of discrimination
  • helping them become, in general, more tolerant and more open to diversity

We really hope you will enjoy discovering these resources just as much as we enjoyed creating them and seeing them in action.

The activities are based on honesty, on being sincere and expressing one’s thoughts without worries and prejudices. This kind of workshop should be done also in schools to simulate deeper relations.

It was very interesting, two days of sharing, Our guides were precious and allowed us to know ourselves better and rethink our behavior. I would strongly recomand this project to others too!

The best way to learn about the different cultures!

A fantastic approach to youngsters' education! Very scalable, easy to grasp by the future trainers and with long lasting impact on the young people!
